These terms of service govern your access to and use of facebookdown.net and every tool published on it. By opening the site, pasting a link into the downloader, or otherwise using any part of the service, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them.

Facebookdown is a free, browser-based utility. You paste the address of a publicly accessible Facebook video, reel, photo, or story; the tool retrieves the publicly available media file that address points to and presents you with a link so your browser can save it. There is no account, no installation, and no charge.

The service is a technical convenience layered over content that is already publicly reachable. It is not a hosting platform. We do not upload, publish, curate, moderate, index for search, or maintain a permanent copy of any media that passes through it, and no library of downloaded files is kept on your behalf.

The tool cannot and does not bypass a login, defeat a privacy setting, or reach content that Facebook has not made publicly available to an unauthenticated visitor. If a post is restricted to friends, to a closed group, or to a private profile, the tool will not retrieve it.

You may use the service for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. All copyright and other rights in media retrieved through this tool remain with the original creator or the rights holder. Downloading a file through Facebookdown transfers no ownership, licence, or right of reuse to you, and it does not make the content yours to publish.

The name Facebook and all related names, marks, logos, and product names are trade marks of Meta Platforms, Inc. They are referred to on this site only to describe what the tool works with. We claim no rights in them and no association with their owner.

The design, layout, original text, and code of facebookdown.net itself belong to the operator of this website and may not be copied or reused without permission.
